The 8th Annual Valentine’s Brunch Party + Door-to-Door Organics giveaway

OMG, you guys. This year my Valentine’s Brunch got to happen ON Valentine’s Day. If that’s not a miracle, I don’t know what is. The party was sponsored by Door-to-Door Organics. It made party prep so much easier! Most of the party groceries were delivered RIGHT to my door. What a dream! Pictured above: BLT sliders*, Yam and feta quiche, and asparagus croque monsiers using this gruyere of my dreams. *Pesto, goat cheese, crispy prosciutto and tomato…

My Favorite French Toast (Oui!)

I’m kinda anti-alarm on the weekend. But it’s gotten to the point that I’m really good at sleeping in. So my bf was going to come by at 10:30 for French toast… But I woke up at 10:37! Luckily he’s good at sleeping in also. So I baked this up while I showered and stuff. Served with a lil side of huntsman cheese because it’s my favorite and it’s striped and after that cheese-break I…

The 7th Annual Valentine’s Brunch

Sunday was the 7th Annual Valentine’s Brunch! And it was super fun. It involved: cheese plates, mimosas, a few fried things and even flower crowns. (They’re pretty easy to make, if you can even believe it). We all hung out and ate tons of food and drank mimosas by the pitcher.  I kinda wish I would’ve eaten more! And my friends did secret dishes and it made the clean-up so much easier. I feel so lucky…

Single Lady French Toast

There was a dark time in my life where I didn’t like French toast. I’d had too many soggy, weird, egg-y situations. Even out on the town, it was disapointment-ville. BUT then I learned the secret. A combo of using stale (homemade) bread that will keep it’s cool when under pressure or submerged in liquid AND, secondly, infusing the milk. Why dunk your bread in plain old milk, when you can infuse it with a…

Banana Bread Remixes for Betty Crocker

Here’s some honesty. I live alone, right? Just me and Elliot the pup. And the truth is, I pretty much never have leftover banana bread. I always WANT to have leftover banana bread for cubing and mixing into ice cream, baking as french toast sticks, or for sandwiching with Nutella and toasted coconut, but when I have banana bread I eat it for every meal. The day I was sorting out the details for this…

The 6th Annual Valentine’s Brunch Party

Sunday was the 6th Annual Valentine’s Brunch Party and Monday was Washington’s Birthday. So I had the day after the party off! It was a Valentine’s miracle! I decorated by repurposing last year’s big fringe garland giving it the horizontal remix. I also decided to cut a big heart (super-jagged-like) out of two pieces of foam core and top it with fringe! For the savory goodness, this year, I made: Cobb Salad Deviled Eggs, breakfast sausage…

Let’s make our faves with Silk!

Silk Soymilk has a whole new taste that I find to be super delightful! It reminds me of slightly sweetened cereal milk, and I’m into it. I love it in my favorite frozen banana, honey, and cinnamon smoothie. Don’t be fooled by this smoothie’s khaki ensemble, it’s subtly sweet frosty goodness. It’s super good poured over my favorite crispy coconut oil granola. Popping a few berries on top doesn’t hurt either. It’s one speedy, yet…
