Pup Frozen Yogurt

Elliot’s the kind of dude-pup that isn’t scared of eating flower shaped frozen yogurt. He’s not too manly for it. He doesn’t discriminate where treats are concerned. If he was a person he’d wear pink with total confidence.

I always tell him when I’m making something for him. He tends to get impatient and riled up. He barks at me to hurry up, but I mean, you can’t rush a freezer. So basically, if it’s too hot for you to function without ice cream, it’s probably the same way for your pup. So give this a shot! It’s just the right thing to do!

Or if it’s not too hot, make these peanut butter or pumpkin ones!

Pup Frozen Yogurt {makes six 4 oz. treats}

  • 2 cups nonfat plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 medium banana
  • 1/3 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1 T honey

Directions:

  1. Place all of the ingredients in a food processor and puree until smooth. Divide between the cups in a silicon cupcake pan. Jiggle the pan to smooth tops.
  2. Place on a baking sheet and freeze until firm, about 2 hours. Give to your pup on the hottest days to keep cool.

  1. It doesn’t matter what I’m making, Mose just stands there at the edge of the kitchen and waits for me to inevitably drop something.

    Totally free swiffer.

    Also his birthday is coming up so maybe he’ll get these if he lets me put a pointy hat on him.

    1. Dogs just are so hopeful! And the floor cleanin’ is just their chore for the week, right?

      Yes! I bet he’d look awesome in a hat.
