These recipes are all thanks to my mom! She’s quite the baker. And can you believe she’s even in town at the moment?! We’re hanging out in the kitchen Sunday, and I’ll totally fill you know what we make.
Coffee Cakes + Muffins
Cinnamon Swirl Coffee Cake – crumby top, swirly middles, oh yeah.
Sour Cream Coffee Cake – a bundt with a bunting! My mom’s favorite.
Bran Muffins – my mom used to make these in mini pie tins.
Pies
Old-Fashioned Peach Pie – warm peach pie + ice cream, oh yeah.
Strawberry Rhubarb Pie – the prettiest pie juice, EVER.
French Silk Pie – it’s not a holiday without this chocolate goodness.
Breads
Honey Wheat Bread – tasty bread, tastier toast!
Pinwheel Bread – a sandwich feels lucky when it’s twirly and swirly.
Potato Rolls – my favorite rolls ever. I think I need these now actually.
Cookies
Chocolate Crinkles – they taste like brownies in a wrinkled outfit.
Cookie Brittle – easy breezy and the perfect ice cream garnish.
Mrs Fields Cookies – lots of chocolate. lots of oatmeal.
P.S. I’m just over here staring at a bundt pan with half the cake still in it. Low blow, cake.
P.P.S. Despite that silly cake there are tasty things coming up!
You’re mom is a mega-baker! And, you’re just really good at cutting out cursive letters AND baking, way to be!
That bundt cake was totally rude for half-sticking in that pan! I hope you yelled it, it totally deserves that!
Thanks man!
That cake sure was rude. But rest assured, the one I made after that worked! Whew.
I really want some french silk pie. That picture made me hungry 😉 Well, all of them did, but that one, I could live off of that stuff.
Your mom is the best cook around! Her pumpkin roll is to die for…well not die…but it’s delicious! She made Mr. W one or at least sent in a couple pieces. YUM!!!
She must be so proud of you Meg, following in her footsteps. It’s so neat to see all the stuff you make, etc. 🙂
Oh, Marsha! Wait until you see the next post! 😉
